Instruction Manuals & Kit - Class 1 Off-Loom Weaving
If you prefer not to attend a live workshop, you can now purchase all the learning content and materials you need to have a go at off-loom weaving by yourself!
Included in this package are five PDF instruction manuals from Class 1 Off-Loom Weaving:
Hopsack
Twill (adaptable to a zig zag)
Dogtooth
Checks & Colour
Steps (shown in tonal green)
The materials pack contains:
A selection of beautiful yarns in a variety of colours - all industry waste
5 A6 plywood boards
Double sided adhesive tape
Flat ‘Bodkin’ needle & regular large-eyed sharp needle
Paper simulations that you can print out and use as a guide.
Each instruction manual takes you through the process from start to finish, from winding the warp threads around the base, to weaving each row of weft, showing exactly where to put your needle and when.
These patterns are suitable for all levels, whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned weaver.
Start with the simple chunky twill, and work your way down the list!
You’ll be amazed by what you achieve, and let me tell you, its quite addictive!
Once you have finished each of these designs, you will be ready for Class 2, should you wish to continue and learn more patterns.
