Virtual 'Taster Class' in Rock Weaving Sat 12th Oct 2024 5pm - 7pm UK Time (BST)

Learn how to weave around rocks and other found objects!

This 2 hour session is but a taster into the wonders of off-loom weaving!

In this workshop you will learn some simple skills including; how to wind a warp around a rock, and how to weave into it with needle and thread.

You will need:

• scissors

• a needle (flat bodkin needles are best but a regular sharp large eyed needle is fine)

• an assortment of yarns

• a couple of objects to weave around - anything vaguely rectangular or square is fine - rocks, slate, wood, anything you like!

Upon booking you will be able to download a PDF containing 2 simple simulations, which we will use as a guide during the workshop. You will need to print these out.

You will also be sent a zoom link, closer to the day.

The workshop will be recorded, so that you can look back on it afterwards, pausing and rewinding to your hearts desire. The video is not published publicly, and is only shared with participants.

Please note: This workshop does not come with a materials kit or instruction manuals like my other workshops, but the downloadable simulations are very easy to follow, especially once you’ve seen the demonstrations during the live workshop and/or in the recording.
